Is societal pressure dipping your mental health? Do you ask yourself, ‘Why your best efforts ended into poor results?’, ‘Why are you not able to achieve what you wanted to while, you observe, others manage good work-life balance?’, ‘Are you expecting too much from others?’ Look deep at your soul level and if these questions reflect on to you, then, my dear friend, these are the warning signs of your deteriorating mental health.

Mental health disorders

Mental Health, mainly, reflects one’s emotional state of mind which cannot be touched but, yes, its effects, no matter how good or bad it is, are prudently tangible. If you are taking things too personally, reacting, and not able to control yourself most of the times, it means your emotional health is at stake. Not just this but also your psychological and social well-being may be at a higher risk with extreme levels of stress.

This article will draw your attention towards the causes which make you feel less confident. Clearly, you are the victim here and your mental health is not in a good state. So, what do you need to do now? Watch out for the following core factors that are causing stress and making you feel less worthy of yourself:

  1. First and foremost, and may be, you don’t even know about this that you don’t accept yourself the way you are. Yes, this is really true. You don’t like and love yourself.
  2. You find it hard to get through an acceptance level that you look from people outside. It is a sort of an approval you look for yourself from others.

If you find yourself fitting in the factors mentioned above, probably, then you must be experiencing one or more of the following changes in you which are the early warning signs of a problem, such as:

  1. Severe mood swings
  2. Having irrational behavior
  3. Sudden yelling at others
  4. Biased-thinking
  5. Not able to make decisions for yourself
  6. Developing health conditions, such as Obsessive Compulsion Disorder (OCD)
  7. Developing habit of Cigarette smoking, increased consumption of liquor, or usage of drugs

All of the signs above call for an urgent attention. You need to pause; pause a little in your life, rethink of your objectives, and ask yourself, do you really wish to build an unworthy life? Say it loud, No, that’s not what you are working for.

So, introspect within, fight with your barriers, and ask yourself, ‘Is holding grudges benefitting you in any way?’ It is important to listen to your voice and the answers to know your ultimate path to success. Have knowledge about yourself first; know your likings and disliking, strengths and weaknesses, and what makes you happy. Don’t consider these statements as something very simple to achieve. Pointing out fingers on others is effortlessly easy but focusing on needs lots of efforts. You go through a lot of turmoil when you work towards cleaning your own inner and outer selves. As the saying goes, ‘Practice Makes a Man Perfect’, your acquired knowledge when applied to various stimuli should keep you stable and then you can overcome your own fears.

Already, your carelessness has damaged your own personality. If you agree what I am saying is right and realize the importance of your health, then take a step and break up with your silence. Stop running in a rat race; it has made you a victim of depression. Do what you like to do but with love and care. This will bring out productivity and the best outcomes that you are capable to achieve. So, cut the expectations, take out a time for yourself, keep a check on your mental health status, and start practicing to give to society. These are the key aspects that indicate you are trying to improve; at least, you are doing your bit to contribute towards the society, and moving in a right direction. Be the change you want to see in the others. Reflect the ‘Be-you-tiful’ you.
