“Globally we are not opening many Zara stores. We are opening larger Zara stores. This is something you can expect in India as well,” said a global spokesperson in an interview when the biggest Zara store opened in Mumbai “Plans are to open a few more Zara stores in India over the next three to four years in the major cities—the primary challenge to faster expansion is the availability of high-quality retail spaces which can be expected to generate reasonable sales through put,” quoted Trent Ltd, Zara’s Indian joint venture partner, which is a part of the Tata Group. Zara has expanded it’s full functioning stores in many countries, Spain includes 436 stores, China includes 193 stores, France includes 129 stores, Italy and Japan includes 100 stores while U.S holds 78 stores in total.

There are over 2,100 Zara stores uncovered across 88 countries. Zara usually hand picks the foremost located and most exorbitant real estate locations in the world to open its flagship stores. Zara has flagship stores on Fifth Avenue in New York, Oxford Street in London, Calle Serrano in Madrid,Via DEl Corso in Rome, Champs-Elysees in Paris, Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, Nevsky Prospect in Saint Peters-burg, GUM in Vladivostok, Shibuya and Ginza in Tokyo, Myeongdong in Seoul, United Arab Emirates and others.
